Goa Dental Clinics were started by Dr. Mrs. Vandana M. Anand who completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery course in 1995 and there after successfully completed her internship training and house job. She worked with a government aided Dental College as Registrar (Department of Prosthodontics and dental materials) for a while and then joined private practitioners and also went to gain practical work experience in one of the top dental practices in Bahrain. Ever since her reaturn she has had her own private practice. When damage to tooth structure like cracks & deep cavaties reach down to the nerve tissue & blood vesssels which are in the soft pulp of the tooth in the canals leading to severe pain, swelling, formation of abcess etc a procedure known as root canal treatment (rct) is carried out.
When the patient looses a part of the tooth due to decay or other reasons the dentist may opt for a filling (restoration). Previously amalgam fillings were used but not being aesthetic dont find favour. At their clinic they use the visual light cured composite material with shade matching to the existing tooth for the most natural finish. They carry out class i, ii, iii, iv & v restorations. The materials used are from companies like 3M, ultradent, Vivadent, dentsply & kulzer. Patients having great degree of mobility (loose teeth) due to peridontal disease or those having congenitally missing laterals our clinic has a unique product to help them. They are using bondable reinforcement ribbon made from ultra high molecular weight polyetelyne fibres for splinting applications .its unique qualities help in crack stopping and fracture toughness.
